Join our relaxation and adventure activities
Do you like to sit back and unwind... calm your mind and nourish your body? Would you like to explore the secrets of tropical nature or connect with another culture? If this sounds intriguing, then we may have what you're looking for.
Playa Las Lajas has not yet been overwhelmed by tourists. Our visitors marvel over the seemingly endless sandy beach for walking, swimming and viewing the magnificent sunsets. But there is much more to do and a few days spent at Las Lajas Beach Resort will provide you with memories beyond your dreams.
In addition to the beach, there is much more to explore: islands that compete in attraction with those of Bocas Del Toro, waterfalls that compare with those in the beautiful highlands around Boquete, walking tours to meet with members of Panama’s indigenous Ngöbe–Buglé tribe, and, with luck, a look at whales or sea turtles which are active in the Gulf of Chiriqui at various times of the year.
And then there is birdwatching. Well over 200 species of birds can be seen on the beach and in the nearby wetlands and mangroves, all within walking distance of the resort. For an extra special treat serious birders can make a day trip to Cerro Colorado known as the only accessible place in Panama to observe the Yellow-green Finch and the Glow-throated Hummingbird.
We will be happy to assist you in organizing your activities. We want you to get the most possible from your visit to Playa Las Lajas. And while you are here, check out our Yoga, Massages and other retreat options.

We had plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the magnificent views stretching for hundreds of miles including Volcan Baru and Coiba We are both in our 60's and found the horses to...Denise B.
“I had a wonderful 90 minute massage today. Birds chirping and waves crashing added to the atmosphere. Lisa used a variety of massage techniques to provide a more relaxing experience. I had some physical issues prior to scheduling the massage and she was very attentive to my needs. I felt like she was walking on clouds when she finished. I'm definitely going to book with her ASAP."Rusty
This is the third time we go for a ride with Gama and we will certainly come back. The horses are very well behaving so you feel really safe and of course Gama is there all the time . Gama knows everything about Panamas ; plants, animals and landscape so it’s very interesting. We love the tour on the beach of course but you must try the tour in the landscape behind on Gama...Sanna and Thierry
The two of us loved the horse riding trip with Gama. The scenery was beautiful, through long grass, down to the mangroves, up to viewpoints where you could see for miles. We learnt lots along the way about medicinal plants and how to ride western style - something completely new to us. The horses were perfectly behaved, we had so much fun and didn’t want it to end! Gama and Lize...Rachel
